Some ips's for Technos games

Post by IronJaguar on Mon May 02, 2016 2:54 am

mediafire.com/download/nyhwye2uweydx7b/tech-ips.zip

In the omake subfolder is three ips files from the bonus Omake/Gamedata disc from the Japanese PC Downtown Smash Dodgeball.

dtjz_V1.ips
for the 8-bit Famicom
Downtown Special: Kunio-kun no Jidaigeki Dayo Zenin Shuugou!
-Starts you with apparently all special techniques and you just have
turn on which ones you want in tech subscreen.
-Adds option of characters being controlled by COM and COM.
-But going into item subscreen freezes game, unless maybe you buy an item first.
-Not compatible with the English translation patch.

dtnm_V3.ips
Apparently for 8-bit Famicom Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari
No idea what it does and don't know why they're bothering with that version when
there's the GBA EX, other than that this version is two players.

nmex_D.ips
I guess this is the old v1.0 patch of EX's Parodi*Ban 2007 Special
for Gameboy Advance Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari EX
V1.1 is available by clicking the purple trashcan at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

In the Koushin-ips folder is two zips I think I found somewhere on KunioRyu's site
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Koushin patches (Did not attempt to combine with English translation patch)
for the 8-bit Famicom Downtown Nekketsu Kousinkyoko: Soreyuke Daiundoukai

These first four from one zip unfortunately mess up graphics of characters climbing, swimming,
and stumbling:
Downtown - Nekketsu Koushin Kyoku2 - Sansen! Reihou Shitennou_Murasaki_1.2_Special
koushinkyoku_kai_b
Koushinkyoku_Yumemi_Kunioryuu_Edition_Special
Nekketsu_Koushinkyoku_X_Kunioryu_Edition_Ver1.2_Special

This patch seems to work perfectly.
Nekketsu_Koushinkyoku_X_Kunioryu_Edition_Ver1.2
Puts Riki, Gouda, Godai, Shinichi, and Sonokawa on the Nekketsu team.
Puts Yamada/Slick/Skip, Toudou/Titus/Todd, and Otis/Onizuka on Reihou.
Replaces Hanazono and Rengou with
Americans/Oklahoma team from Bikkuri Nekketsu Shin Kiroku! Harukanaru Kin Medal
(Japanese Street Challenge)
And Tigers (with the Tiger Mask bosses from Kakutou Densetsu but unmasked)

One from the other zip with the same file name+special allows you to use special techs in the normal
race event but it messes up the graphics like the rest of those.

Not included cause it's right here:

A lot of people are still messing with an old incomplete v.075 translation for Dunk Heroes.  Here's Farid's v1.2 complete translation.

I made up this to show off the awesome 4 player Nekketsu Kunio / River City sports games.

mediafire.com/view/8fl5mcbxb7et3m1/rivercity4player.png#

It's also in my photobucket but I had to split it in 4 pieces to not be shrunken by them: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

I'll make another to show Super Spike V'Ball, Jidaigeki remakes (with 8 player battle mode?), and 8 player KD remakes. And DS Dodgeball.

I made a video of all super shots in the Japanese version of World Cup.

I have links to hacked save states for the PC-Engine CD version.
I'm going to upload hacked states for the Famicom version but you're limited in what match-ups you can have in that. There's already info on what hex address to go to set the hex values for the teams you want.

Thanks, Danger.

I've been messing around with practically all versions of the Nekketsu Soccer.

It turns the Japanese Sharp X68000 and Sega Mega Drive versions let you select any team in vs mode.  Palsoft screwed up control and hit detection and nerfed most players' shots really bad in the MD version though.  The Sharp version is closest to the Famicom/NES, except I can't get its save system to work that it has in place of passwords.  F4 brings up a music select for practically any part of the game to change what's playing.  It even has menu music from RCR and I think some music from Renegade/Kouha Kunio-kun.

Most versions have additional teams.
The PCE Hucard has 13th match against Rocket Scientists, but not the other countries form the PCE CD which has France, Brazil, Argentina, Italy, Germany for 13th to 17th.  The Mega Drive version has a 13th match against all-stars.  Someone from each of the first six teams in the first half and the last six teams in the second half.

I hacked save states for Kunio's Nekketsu Soccer league for 8-bit FC with already having the team hack, so I can play as four additional teams: Korea, an African Cameroon version of Nekketsu, a European German Nekketsu, and a South American Brazilian Nekketsu.

I beat the Nintendo DS version called River City Soccer Hooligans which plays pretty similar despite being 3D.  South Africa replaces Guinea.  Spain replaces Italy.  And the new final toughest team is Tokioka Corporation cyborgs.  They have red eyes and their heads spin totally around when celebrating.

Over 13 years ago I uploaded a World Cup/NKS faq to GameFAQs for NES and PCE CD.  I'll update that sometime, especially since I think I got all correct speed, hit points, and shot steps for all teams US or Japanese version.  Most usually unplayable teams in the Japanese have shot steps of only 1.  You start to move and immediately kick.  In Sharp X68000 they gave an option screen (press F2 on title) to turn off super shots as a balancing option.

Stats posted at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Passwords not in my FAQ: (Hucard is different from CD)

first PW = MD, second PW = PCE Hucard
1 Yuushuuin
2 monks 0255 , 7676
3 bikers 4900, 4649
4 hunters 6503, 3614
5 announcers 8086, 7280
6 firemen 0303, 4154
7 men of sea 0726, 0141
8 Psychics 7403, 5656
9 Gamblers 1992, 5814
10 Miners 2916, 3939
11 Hattori 3618, 2414
12 Okinawa 5963, 0784
13 All-Stars -no password-, Rocket Scientists w/ Blue Comet Shot 6210

MD only: sound test 4126, but can't figure out how to work it.
Got into functional sound test after ending on Hucard pressing buttons but can't figure out how to get it again but fortunately saved a state at it.

Here's hex addresses for various versions and emulations:

Nestopia v1.40 and Nester DC compress save states
So can not hack their save states

Nintendo World Cup hacked states obsolete with team rom hack (4 player)
NESten 0.6 B Final
531 532 (same as NNNesterJ)

NNNesterJ  v0.22c
531 532 (Same as NESten)

Nesticle
2514 2515

PC-Engine CD Nekketsu Koukou Soccer (4 player)

Turbo Engine 16 v0.32
0679 067A

Magic Engine v0.99 beta2
Changes: 43E7E & 43E7F, 439A6 & 439A7, 44C8A & 44C8B, and 45162 & 45163

PC-Engine Hucard version NKS (4 player)
Same hex locations as CD version but mostly
hacked states have graphic glitches and freeze
Scientists vs Nekketsu worked fine for me though.
Limitations may be similar to Famicom.

Famicom Nekketsu Koukou Soccer (2 Player)
One of the players usually has to be Nekketsu.

FCE Ultra eXtended-Debug 1.0a based on FCE Ultra 0.97.5
Line of 550
55C 55D

JNes 1.0
52C 52D

Nesticle
2508 2509

NNNesterJ  v0.22c  (Nekketsu Koukou Soccer runs faster than supposed to)
525 526

Here are the values for the different teams:
00 = Nekketsu
01 = Miners
02 = Monks
03 = Sigma High School Bikers
04 = Yuushuuin (look similar to Senridai HS)
05 = Hunters
06 = Men of the Sea
07 = Firemen
08 = Announcers
09 = Gamblers
0A = Osorezan/Osoreyama High School Psychics
0B = Hattori High School Ninja
0C = Shimanchuu Industrial School/Southern Islanders/Okinawa
0D = France (CD) / Scientists (Hucard) / hyper team (FC)
0E = Brazil (CD)
0F = Argentina (CD)
10 = Italy (CD)
11 = Germany (CD)
Unused hyper team has to be player 2 and has the faces of player 1's hex value+1.

FC  Nekketsu Soccer League (The sequal, 4 player)
Team hack makes almost every one playable but not Korea or 3 weird versions of Nekketsu

FCE Ultra  Team hack+4P on field+Fast AI + additional trans
580 581

JNes   Team hack+4P on field+Fast AI + additional trans
550 551

00 = Nekketsu/Japan
01 = Korea but player 1 looks like Mexico. Setup looks like Mexico for both players.
02 = Mongolia
03 = Thailand
04 = Cameroonese Nekketsu (African)
05 = Guinea
06 = Senegal
07 = Cameroon
08 = German Nekketsu (European)
09 = Germany
0A = England
0B = Italy
0C = Brazilian Nekketsu (South American)
0D = Brazil
0E = Argentina
0F = Mexico
Weird versions of Nekketsu (one for each continent) only have six players and all have Kunio's shot.

I'll try and get some more hacked states up on media fire and can do specific ones by request.
